WINTER PARK, Fla. - Nova Southeastern junior
Erin Black (Fort Myers, Fla.) has been named Sunshine State Conference Women's Swimmer of the Week for the period ending October 16.
Black led the Sharks to a 131-73 win at Saint Leo. Black won the 1,000-yard freestyle with an NCAA “B” qualifying time of 10:34.18. Her mark set a new program record in the 1,000-free and shattered her previous record of 10:41.91. Black also finished second with a time of 1:03.04 in the 100-yard backstroke. She joined the 200-yard freestyle relay team to claim first place with a time of 1:44.04.
Catch Black and the rest of the women's swimming and diving team at the NSU Aquatic Complex, Saturday Oct. 5, at 2 p.m. when they take on Rollins.
