FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - Nova Southeastern men's soccer's
Alvin Quaye (Sr., West Ham, England) was named Sunshine State Conference Player of the Week, as announced by the conference office Monday. It is the first time the three-year captain has received the honor in his career.
Quaye anchored a stingy defense that posted a pair of 1-0 shutout wins last week. In an overtime victory versus Carson Newman, the Sharks permitted just three shots on goal.
Quaye and the NSU defense were even more dominant in a win over Tusculum, limiting the Pioneers to just one shot on frame. Quaye’s efforts landed him a spot on the all-tournament team at TC’s Stanno Tournament.
Quaye and the Sharks will return to South Florida but stay on the road as they take on Barry in Miami Shores, Fla. on Saturday, Sept. 17 at 7 p.m.
