FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. Nova Southeastern freshman
Oscar Lengdèn (Helsingborg, Sweden) has been honored as the Sunshine State Conference Men's Golfer of the Week, as announced by the conference office.
Lengden won a three-golfer playoff for medalist honors at Barry's Buccaneer Invitational. Finishing three rounds with a seven-under 206 (69-65-72), Lengden birdied a playoff hole to edge out teammate
Ricardo Celia (So., Barranquilla, Columbia) and Lynn's Marcelo Rozo for individual honors.
Lengden turned in a tournament-best 17 birdie putts en route to his victory. His efforts helped the Sharks finish third in the 14-team event.
