FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - Nova Southeastern University Director of Athletic
Michael Mominey announced that Kelley Kish has been named Associate Athletic Director for the Sharks effective Aug. 3, 2012. She will serve as the athletic department's Senior Woman Administrator (SWA) and Director of Compliance, having served in a similar role with the University of Indianapolis for the past two years.
"We are excited to welcome Kelley to the Shark family," Mominey said. "Her pedigree as an administrator speaks for itself and we look forward to adding her leadership, knowledge and philosophy to our athletic program. I am personally excited to work with Kelley alongside our current administration and staff as we continue building a culture of perpetual success in Shark athletics."

Kish comes to Nova Southeastern University after spending two years as the Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance and Senior Woman Administrator at the University of Indianapolis. During her tenure at UIndy, she was primarily responsible for the education and monitoring of 21 sports and nearly 600 student-athletes for NCAA, GLVC and University Compliance programs, including policy and procedure development for the athletic department. She also actively serves as a member of NACWA (National Association of Collegiate Women's Athletic Administrators), NACDA (National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics) and NAAC (National Association for Athletics Compliance).
In addition to her duties with UIndy Athletics, Kish served as an adjunct professor and instructor with the UIndy Academic Success Center and Kinesiology Department. Outside of her university responsibilities, she served on various committees with the GLVC (Great Lakes Valley Conference) and volunteered with the Indiana Sports Commission which hosted Super Bowl XLVI, NCAA Women's Basketball Final Four, Big-10 basketball tournaments and football championships as well as the Indy Grand Prix Swimming Championships.
Prior to UIndy, Kish spent nine years at the University of Florida, most recently as the Coordinator of Volleyball Operations for the Gators. There, she was responsible for all of the behind-the-scenes aspects of the volleyball program, including team travel, NCAA compliance, ordering and distribution of equipment, assisting with recruiting correspondence and campus visits and serving as the volleyball office's liaison to the Gator Attack Club. She also oversaw the volleyball budget and supervised the student manager staff and operations assistants.
Kish also supported the coaches administratively and oversaw the day-to-day operation of the volleyball office. She served as the Director of Camp Operations for the Florida Volleyball Camps that hosts nearly 1,700 campers each summer.
Prior to her stint with Florida, Kish was the scouting assistant for the NBA's Orlando Magic. Kish first joined the Florida Volleyball program in 2001, serving as the staff assistant for more than three years.
She graduated from the University of Florida in 2003, earning a bachelor's degree in telecommunications with an outside concentration in sport management. Kish completed her M.S. in sport management in May 2009 also at the University of Florida. Kish is a graduate of the NACWAA/HERS Institute for Administrative Advancement and attended the NCAA Women's Leadership Symposium in 2009.
