CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – Three members of the Nova Southeastern women’s golf team have been named to the 2011-12 National Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar Team, as announced by the NGCA Friday.
Liliana Cammisa (Fr., Alta Gracia, Argentina),
Abbey Gittings (Jr., Tamworth, England) and
Claudia Wolf (Sr., Igls, Austria) were all recognized for having a cumulative GPA of at least a 3.50. Cammisa and Gittings are both undergraduate students studying Sports and Recreation Management while Wolf is pursuing a Masters in Business Administration.
NSU was one of four schools in the Sunshine State Conference to have at least three student-athletes honored. The NGCA honored nearly 600 student-athletes across all divisions of NCAA women’s golf.
These achievements are added to a long list of team and individual honors for the 2012 NSU women’s golf team. The Sharks won their fourth straight National Championship this season, tying for longest streak in the history of NCAA Division-II women’s golf. Gittings took home the individual national championship, marking the third year in a row in which a Shark took home the title.
