NORMAN, Okla. – The Nova Southeastern men’s golf team added yet another accolade to their remarkable National Championship season, earning Golf Coaches Association of America All-Academic Team recognition. The award is presented by Farmers Insurance Group.
To qualify for GCAA All-Academic Team recognition, a team must earn a combined GPA of 3.0 for the entire academic year. Schools that post a GPA of 3.5 or higher receive President’s Special Recognition.
The Sharks were one of only 14 Division II schools to earn All-Academic Team honors. A total of 124 schools, ranging across all collegiate ranks (NCAA, NAIA, NJCAA), were honored by the GCAA this year.
Post was honored the D-II Academic National Champion, achieving the highest GPA of all D-II men’s golf teams. DePaul recorded the highest overall team GPA across all divisions for the third consecutive year. Fellow Sunshine State Conference schools Barry and Lynn were also recognized as All-Academic Teams.
