SAN ANTONIO –
The Nova Southeastern women's basketball team's historic run ended in overtime at the national Elite Eight, falling to No. 5 Western Washington, 80-76.

The Sharks trailed by as many as 17, and were down 13 at the half, before retaking the lead with 5:06 remaining on a Tailor Jones (Sr., Altamonte Springs, Fla.) layup. The teams traded points down the stretch, and NSU (23-9) was up two as WWU took their final possession. Senior Corinn Waltrip put in a highly-contested layup with 7.6 left to tie the game up, and the Sharks' last two shots would not fall as the game went into the extra frame.

In overtime, it was more of the same: back-and-forth, this time between NSU's Jones and WWU's Britt Harris. Unfortunately for the Sharks, it was Harris who was able to get the biggest basket, a layup and Jones' fifth foul, giving the Vikings a three-point lead with 31 seconds left, 77-74.

Waltrip made 3-of-4 free throws down the stretch and sealed the win to move WWU (29-3) into the Final Four.

Jones led NSU with 20 points and 11 rebounds in her final game as a Shark. Danielle Robinson (So., Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) had 18, Amanda Burakoski (Jr., Brooklyn, N.Y.) 16 and the team's other senior, Meixandra Porter (Sr., Chantilly, Va.) 15.

On the other side, Harris also had a double-double, with 24 points and 10 rebounds, while Waltrip added 21.
