WINTER PARK, Fla. – Nova Southeastern women’s golfer, No. 4
Linnea Johansson (Fr., Vaxjo, Sweden), has been named Sunshine State Conference Women's Golfer of the Week presented by VALIC as announced by the conference office today, March 4.
Johansson won medalist honors at the Lady Moc Classic, defeating teammate No. 7
Liliana Cammisa in a playoff hole for top honors. Johansson tied for first of 90 golfers with a three-round score of 218 (70-74-74). She sealed her individual victory by nailing a 60-foot putt on the playoff hole. Johansson's performance also helped NSU win the team title by 18 strokes.
This turn of events marked the second time in the tournament’s 15-year history a playoff was needed to determine the individual champion.
