Swimming and Diving Hires Lyle Robelot as Assistant Coach

Robelot completes staff for 2014-15 season.

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Nova Southeastern University swimming and diving head coach Hollie Bonewit-Cron has announced the hiring of Lyle Robelot as assistant coach.

"I am very excited to have Lyle join our coaching staff," said head coach Bonewit-Cron. "His experience in the Southeastern Conference blends well with my experience in the SEC, being that our approach to training and balancing academics is very similar."

Robelot comes to NSU after spending the last two seasons serving as a graduate assistant at Louisiana State University. As part of his coaching duties, Robelot was a videographer for the team, allowing student-athletes to analyze their swimming and diving techniques and fundamentals.

Prior to his time at LSU, Robelot spent five years as the senior assistant coach and the eight and under division director for Crawfish Aquatics. During his time there he coached his swimmers to multiple state championships. Robelot also spent time as the assistant and eventually head coach of the Zones All-Star Team in Louisiana.

Robelot began his coaching career at Saint Joseph's Academy in Baton Rouge, La. where he served as head coach for two years. He led SJA to one state championship and was named the CCSL Women's Coach of the Year in 2010 and 2011.

Graduating from LSU with a bachelor's degree in human movement, Robelot is currently pursuing a master's degree in exercise physiology lab.

"Lyle brings knowledge and integrity to his work ethic," stated head coach Bonewit-Cron. "He is enthusiastic and engaged in his coaching style."
