Emma Wahlstrom (So., Stockholm, Sweden),
Courtney DeVeny (Fr., Estero, Fla.) and
Malin Westman (Fr., Harryda, Sweden), come into the meet with an undefeated 4-0 record, their best start to the season in program history.
"Everyone usually swims quite well," said captain
Arianna Sunyak (Sr., Naples, Fla.). "I like the fact that we get to suit up! That always boosts my confidence a bit."
The men, led by
Thiago Sickert (So., Vila Velha, Brazil),
Shane Kleinbeck (Sr., San Antonio, Texas) and
Marco Aldabe (So., Alicante, Spain), come into the meet looking to rebound and make a statement after two loses that have come down to the wire in their past two meets. Sickert currently ranks in the top ten in NCAA DII in the 100-free and 100-fly.
"This is a great way to practice a four-day meet before conference and nationals," said Kleinbeck. "I'm excited because it's a fun meet and the whole team tends to have a good time. There's a lot of high spirits throughout the week."
Results will be posted to the Fifth Annual Shark Invitational page after the prelims and finals of each day.
