2014 Men’s Soccer Schedule Released

Sharks begin season on Sept. 4 in Georgia against No. 11 Young Harris.

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The Nova Southeastern University men's soccer program has released its schedule for the upcoming 2014 season. The Sharks will begin the season on the road on Sept. 4 at No. 11 Young Harris at 7 p.m.
 
Overall, the Sharks play a near-even schedule of nine away matches and eight home dates. After three road scrimmages, a tough season-opener at a nationally ranked opponent and another road match against North Georgia in Dahlonega, Georgia on Sept. 7, the Sharks will play their home opener against Ave Maria at 6 p.m. on Sept. 10. NSU will play three more tough nonconference games in September against Lynn, St. Thomas and Eastern Florida State.
 
Sunshine State Conference play will open on Sept. 27 at No. 17 Saint Leo at 7 p.m. On Oct. 1 at 7 p.m., NSU will play its first home conference game against Florida Tech. During the rest of SSC play, NSU will face three road opponents in Florida Southern (Oct. 4), No. 5 Rollins (Oct. 15) and Tampa (Oct. 18). The Sharks will play three more home SSC matches against Barry (Oct. 8), Eckerd (Oct. 25) and Lynn (Oct. 29). The season will also include two final nonconference games against Flagler (Oct. 22) on the road and the season finale against Tampa (Nov. 1) at home.
 
The postseason is scheduled to begin with the 2014 SSC Tournament Quarterfinals on Nov. 4. The semifinals are scheduled for Nov. 7 with the championship game slated for Nov. 9. The Sharks will be competing all season for a spot in the NCAA Tournament, beginning on Nov. 13.
