NSU Athletics Partners with Florida Breast Cancer Foundation and Memorial Cancer Institute for October Cancer Awareness

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. -- The Nova Southeastern University athletic department is partnering with the Florida Breast Cancer Foundation and the Memorial Cancer Institute for Cancer Awareness month in October.

During selected games, the Nova Southeastern University Athletic Department is extending free admission to any cancer survivors, warriors and families (up to four people) to be its guests at the upcoming Cancer Awareness Games during the month.

In an effort to celebrate survivors, support those going through treatments, and to remember those who have lost their battle with cancer, the Sharks have teamed up with the Florida Breast Cancer Foundation and the Memorial Cancer Institute. The first 150 fans at each game will receive a Just Win T-shirt, as well as educational collateral and information on cancer resources from both Memorial and Florida Breast Cancer Foundation. Additionally, free pink giveaways will be on hand, as well as special game break promotion prizes.

The upcoming featured Cancer Awareness games are:
Wednesday, Oct. 12 – NSU Women's Soccer vs. Florida Tech at 7 p.m.
Tuesday, Oct. 18 – Volleyball vs. Barry at 7 p.m.
Friday, Oct. 28 – NSU Men's Soccer vs. Florida National at 7 p.m.
