FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – After guiding Nova Southeastern to a win against last season's Sunshine State Conference regular season champion Saint Leo, men's soccer's Faycal Oulahbib has been recognized as the SSC Offensive Player of the Week, announced Monday afternoon by the league office.
 
Oulahbib entered last Wednesday's meeting with the Lions with just one goal to his name in 2016, but struck twice in the first half to lift the Sharks to a thrilling 2-1 victory in their SSC finale. The senior opened the scoring in the 12^th minute and later notched the go-ahead goal in the 24^th following a perfect left-footed through ball from teammate Filippo Mancini. Oulahbib's game-winner not only put a serious dent the Saint Leo's SSC Tournament chances, but also helped the Sharks surpass their league win total from a year ago with the 'W'.  
 
Oulahbib and NSU finished the year with a record of 4-11, 2-7 in the SSC.
