FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The Nova Southeastern volleyball team rounds out its 2017 signing class with the addition of junior transfer
Sydney Lemon. The 6-2 middle blocker not only adds height for the Sharks, but experience to a young squad.
"We actually recruited Sydney a few years ago, and we are very excited we got a second chance!" explained head coach
Jennifer King. "Sydney not only brings great athleticism and size to the court, but her experience growing up playing in California and two years in the collegiate game give her a great wealth of knowledge where we will look to very early in the season."
As a sophomore at Tennessee Tech, Lemon played in 20 games, including 11 starts tallying 29 kills, nine digs and 19 blocks over 47 sets.
"I chose to transfer to NSU because the school had a great atmosphere about it and a great business school as well," described Lemon. "The people were friendly and fun, yet serious about what they do here. I can't wait to be a part of the team!"
The Sharks will kick off their 2017 season hosting the 10
th-Annual Shark Invitational beginning on Sept. 1. For updates and live coverage follow @NSU_VBALL and @NSUSharks on Twitter.
