LAKELAND, Fla. – Running in their second race in six days, the Nova Southeastern University men's and women's cross country teams showed no sign of fatigue as four runners placed in the Top-10 leading to a first place finish for the men and second place for the women at the FLRUNNERS.COM18 Invitational on a rainy Friday afternoon in Lakeland, Florida.
On the men's side, Scott Greeves placed second among all collegiate runners while Ian McQuate and Joel Lacy finished third and tenth respectively. Meanwhile on the women's side, freshman Michelle Bauer continues her impressive rookie campaign with a sixth place finish.
"We ran exceptionally well despite only six days off," head coach Bryan Hagopian said. "I am proud of our runners for keeping their mind on the race and not letting anything throw them off. That shows our young group of runners has mental toughness and can race through any condition."
