FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Simply one week after receiving votes in the preseason poll, Nova Southeastern didn't wait long to grab the attention of the national committee, sky-rocketing all the way up to No. 13 in the latest United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division II women's rankings.

The Sharks opened up their 2017 campaign in impressive fashion by knocking off North Alabama, a club that then turned around and beat 16th-ranked Barry less than 48 hours later. Nova Southeastern then reeled off 4-0 and 2-1 victories over Felician and Johnson & Wales to extend its program-record, home unbeaten streak to 18 matches.

Head coach John Constable's club is the only Sunshine State Conference member currently among the Top-25 and also firmly sits at No. 2 in the South Region.

Western Washington remained in the top spot in this week's poll, followed by No. 2 Columbus State, No. 3 Kutztown, No. 4 Central Missouri and No. 5 West Florida. The Sharks will travel to face Columbus State this Sunday for an enormous chance at a resume booster.

In what marks their fourth match in five days, the Sharks will square off on the road against Palm Beach Atlantic tonight at 7 p.m. ET. For complete coverage, follow along on Twitter at @NSU_WSoccer and by clicking on the provided links on the schedule page.
