AS A SENIOR (2012-2013)
Fall 2012: One victory and two runner up finishes in four fall tournaments...started fall finishing runner-up at the Yale Fall Intercollegiate (73-69-71--213), shooting her season low single round, three-under, 69, helping in the teams victory...Finished runner-up again in the Guy Harvey Invitational in her teams victory, shooting (73-73--146)...Captured medalist honors at the Saint Leo Invitational (71-71--142), contributing to her teams victory...Finished the fall with a third-place finish at the Lady Paladin Invitational (75-77-80--232).
Spring 2013: Finished the year Nationally Ranked No. 3... 2013 WGCA Division II All-American Team Member for third-straight year...Selected to the 2013 All-SSC First-Team...Started spring with sixth-place finish, contributing to the teams victory at the Lady moc Classic (70-76-76--222)...Helped lead the team to victory at the Peggy Kirk Bell Invitational with a third-place finish (75-72-76--223)...Led once in the teams victory at the Bison Invitational in vegas, finishing in second-place (76-71--147)... Fall 2011: Placed fifth at the Yale Intercollegiate, shooting a 223 (77-70-76) (9/18/11) … Won the Lady Falcon Invitational at LPGA International by one stroke, scoring a 148 (74-74) (9/25/11) … Helped NSU win the NSU Shark Invitational (10/11/11) at PGA National with a score of 148 (75-73), good for a third-place tie … Completed the fall season with a 10th-place showing at the Lady Paladin Invitational (10/30/11) with a score of 233 (79-78-76).
Spring 2012: Named the NGCA/PING National Player of the Year … Was a NGCA Division II All-America First-Team selection for the second-straight year ... Named SSC Female Athlete of the Year ... Selected as a Capital One CoSIDA Academic All-District First-Team member … Named the Sunshine State Conference Player of the Year and an All-SSC First team selection … Twice named SSC Golfer of the Week (March 11, April 8) … Tied for fourth (76-75-73—224) at the Lady Moc Classic (2/21/12) to begin the spring season … Made up three strokes in the final round (76-73-73—222) to win the Peggy Kirk Invitational (3/16/12), leading NSU to the team victory … Going up against top Division-I talent, she finished the John Kirk/Panther Invitational (3/27/12) tied for 16th (79-74-71-224) … Finished tied for second with a total score of 226 (75-78-73) at the Georgetown Hoya Invitational (4/3/12) … Placed fourth at the SSC Championships(4/17/12), scoring 234 (79-76-79), as NSU won its third-straight conference title … Came in third at the NCAA Super Regional II (5/8/12) at the Stony Brook Golf Course (Pace, Fla.), shooting 218 (69-73-76) …. Was the individual champion at the NCAA D-II National Championship (5/19/12), scoring a 10-over 298 (72-75-78-73) to win the tournament by two strokes, leading NSU to its fourth straight national team title.
AS A SOPHMORE (2010-2011)
Fall 2010: At the USF Waterlefe Invite Gittings carded a one-under 71 n the final round to finish tied for sixth with a three-round score of 222 (75-76-71)... At the Shark Invitational Gittings (315-300—615) carved 15 strokes off her second round to finish third.
Spring 2011: Named National Golf Coaches Association Division II First-Team All-American...Named Sunshine State Conference women’s golfer of the Week on Monday, April 4. Gittings earned the nod by maintaining steady golf over the week’s two-day Lady Otter Spring Invitational hosted by Cal-State Monterey Bay on March 28-29. She fired an even par 73 in both rounds to earn her first individual medalist honor of the season with a total of 146...During the Sharks victory at the Hoya Invitational Gittings fired a 75 and 80 in both rounds to earn an 11 over par, 155 and tie for fourth-place overall...At the NCAA South Regional Gittings finished second with a three-round 217 (+1). After opening rounds of 73 and 76, the second-year player saved her best round for last. She opened the final round with a birdie on a par four and then rattled off five more to finish with a four-under 68.
AS A FRESHMAN (2009-2010)
Fall 2009: Played in four tournaments... Finished top 10 in two consecutive tournaments, the USF-Waterlefe Invitational placing 10th and at the NSU Shark Invitational tying for ninth... Tied for 20th at the Lady Paladin Intercollegiate Invitational... Came in 16th at the Ross Resorts at Mid Pines Invitational.
Spring 2010: Earned the third Division II National Freshman of the Year award in NSU program history...Selected as a honorable mention NGCA/Duramed All-American...Named the Sunshine State Conference Freshman of the Year... Appeared in all seven tournaments... Played as an individual at the Lady Moc Classic where she came in sixth place...At the Peggy Kirk Bell Invitational she finished in seventh place with a score 10-over par for three rounds...Tied for 27th at the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational...Finished tied for 39th at the Hoya Womens Invitational...Had her seasons best finished at the 2010 Womens SSC Championship where she tied for fourth place...Tied for 21st at the NCAA Division II Womens Super Region 2...Came in a tie for 16th place at the NCAA Division II Championships, where the Sharks won their second consecutive national championship...Concluded her season with a 76.97 score average after 31 rounds of play.
HIGH SCHOOL
