AS A SOPHOMORE
Named D2CCA Second Team All-Region as a sophomore after hitting 17 home runs to go along with 55 RBI…Splitting time behind the plate and at DH, Anchia posed a threat by recording a .326/.443/.719 slash line... Had 14 games with at least two or more RBI, including a season-high four RBI on three separate occasions…Hit his lone multi-homer game against Rollins (4/14)... Scored a season-high four times in the opening round of the NCAA South Region Tournament against West Alabama (5/18)…Finished with a season-total of 57 runs scored...Offensively, shared the team lead with 15 doubles and two triples,
SUMMER 2016
Anchia carried his success from his breakout freshman campaign into the summer for the DuPage Drones, and was named the Prospect League's sixth-best prospect by Baseball America. He started 43 games all over the field, spending time in left field, right field, first base, third base, and as the designated hitter, in addition to his natural role behind the plate. He finished the summer hitting .287, with 13 doubles, three home runs, 32 runs batted in, and 26 runs scored, while also stealing three bases. He started the summer with two multi-hit games, with two stolen bases and one of four three-hit games in his first game, then three RBI in his second, to match what would be a season-high in his second. Anchia hit his first two homers in back-to-back games on June 16th and 17th. In 17 games in July, he hit .372, with eight doubles and a homer, to go along with 15 runs scored and 17 driven in. His third homer of the summer came on July 7th, the third of three consecutive mult-hit games, and his first of two such streaks that month. He had a season highs with four hits and three runs scored and driven in on July 26th. He also showed off his strong arm while behind the plate, throwing out 12 of 24 runners attempting to steal a base.
AS A FRESHMAN (2016)
Had a historic freshman campaign for the NCAA Division II National Champion Sharks, breaking the program record for home runs by a freshman, previously set by Detroit Tigers All-Star J.D. Martinez, who had five in 2007, with eight long balls of his own… Played in 31 games, making 18 starts at catcher… Earned his first career start on Feb. 6 at Alabama-Huntsville… Got his first hit in a 19-6 win against Eckerd on Mar. 4, and hit his first home run in his third career start, a 16-1 win over American International… Had a season-high three hits, three runs scored and three RBI in a 17-3 victory to complete a series sweep of Barry on Apr. 2, his first career multi-hit game… Had his first career multi-homer game in a 12-0 win at Florida Southern, matching his season-highs of three hits and three runs scored… Played in two games in the NCAA South Regional Tournament, with two hits, two runs, two RBI and a mammoth home run in a 9-4 win against No. 14 Delta State to advance to the regional finals… Appeared in all five games of the NCAA National Tournament, starting the last three following an injury to Michael Hernandez… In a 5-2 win over No. 16 Cal Poly Pomona, his first start of the tournament, had another mammoth two-run home run and also stole a base… Finished the season with 24 hits in just 73 at bats, for a .329 average, with 24 runs scored and 20 driven in… Drew eight walks and was hit by eight pitches, compared to only 17 strikeouts, for an on-base percentage of .444… Eight home runs and two doubles made for a slugging percentage of .685… Stole five bases out of six attempts… Maintained a 1.000 fielding percentage through the first 57 games of the season, spanning 158 total chances, and caught five of 14 attempted base stealers.

HIGH SCHOOL
Four-year letterwinner at Archbishop McCarthy in Southwest Ranches, Fla., where he was teammates with fellow Sharks catcher Michael Hernandez and former Sharks pitcher and 2015 25th round draft pick Ryan Castellanos… Coached by Richard Bielski and Alex Fernandez, the father of former Sharks infielder and 2015 25th round draft pick Alexander Fernandez… Enjoyed a breakout 2015 season for the Mavericks, in which he hit .420, with a .528 on-base and .810 slugging, while hitting 10 home runs, seven doubles, driving in 41 runs and scoring 40 times… Also drew 13 walks and took 10 hit by pitches, compared to just 11 strikeouts, while winning the third state championship of his high school career… Earned All-County First Team recognition at catcher by the Sun-Sentinel, Miami Herald, and HSBN with his performance, in addition to HSBN’s All-County Hitter of the Year and All-District Player of the Year awards… Was also named the MVP of his team, the FHSAA Class 5-A Player of the Year and All-District catcher, as well as All-State honors from the Florida Athletic Coaches Association and a participant in their All-Star Baseball Classic… Perfect Game All-Region Honorable Mention in 2015 after two years of Underclass Honorable Mentions, and a spot on the HSBN Senior All-Star Private Team… Won state championships with the Mavericks in 2012 and 2013, in addition to 2015, along with three district championships and one district runner-up finish, and three regional championships.
