Grande Oaks

Grande Oaks Golf Club

Home to the back-to-back-to-back national champion Sharks golf team, Grande Oaks Golf Club was created amidst natural oak hammoks. The Grande Oaks Golf Course is a par 71 and measures 6,680 yards from the tips. In keeping with tradition, all tees at Grande Oaks are perfectly square and are aligned to the middle of the landing area offering a variety of distances from which to play.

The greens at Grande Oaks are unique in design affording a wide range of play. The greens and tees are walk-mowed to provide prime playing conditions. The greens are planted with Tift Eagle, an ultra-dwarf that is superior to others allowing faster, truer greens play. All the Grande Oaks fairways are planted in Bermuda 419.

The eighteen-hole Grande Oaks Course was built on rolling terrain and has fairways lined with mature Spanish Oaks and Australian Pine trees.

This course became a landmark and playground of the stars when it was used as the location for the successful comedy movie, "Caddyshack."

Grande Oaks Golf Academy

Located at the prestigious Grande Oaks Golf Club in Davie, Fla., the Grande Oaks Golf Academy is one of the finest golf facilities in South Florida. From what used to be a nine hole executive par-3, the Academy encompasses over 40 acres of professionally maintained practice tees, bunkers, traps, fairways and rough playing surfaces, allowing the golfer to simulate and practice virtually any shot in the game of golf. With multiple putting and pitching greens, this short game heaven will refine your skills in varying grass heights and lie conditions.

• Five full length practice holes adjacent to the Academy to re-create actual on course scenarios.
• Trouble shot area complete with downhill, uphill, and sidehill lies.
• Multiple bunkers allow for the practice of short greenside bunker shots and those tricky longer yardage bunker shots.
• A pitching and chipping green with an area to practice full wedges to small chips. The green has two shelves to allow for multiple pin locations and unlimited shot possibilities.
• Two hitting bays equipped with the state-of-the-art V1 swing analyzer. Each bay has multiple camera angles to capture every aspect of the golf swing. This sophisticated software also contains numerous tour professional swings for comparison.
• Vector Launch Monitor to professionally and accurately fit golf clubs.
• A conference room for corporate events and meetings.

Clubhouse

The NSU clubhouse is located in the middle of the 40 acre practice facility, inside the hitting-bay building. The clubhouse includes a television, couch, and storage for golf clubs.

The coaches have designed the main room of the clubhouse in remembrance of Sharks success. They have strategically placed previous individual and teams champions to be hung and remembered by current Shark players.

Team members use this area to enjoy a break from practicing their game.

V1 Swing Analysis System

The practice facility is equipped with the V1 swing analysis system. The V1 is considered the No. 1 Video Analysis System in sports.

It helps coaches analyze players swings to use when analyzing team members swings. It also:

• Store and retrieve your digitally recorded golf swing
• View split screen comparisons of your swing
• Use on-screen tools to analyze your swing
• Easily monitor adjustments and the resulting improvements
• Work on every part of your game full swing, chipping, putting
