Message from the NSU President
I am intensely proud of the NSU student-athletes who compete in NCAA Division-II for the Sharks!
First and foremost, our athletes are students! For instance, our three-time National Champion women's golf team had a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.54 this spring semester. Semester after semester, all of our student-athletes earn a cumulative GPA greater than 3.0. In fact many of our best athletes go on to attend one of NSU's prestigious graduate and professional schools.
Leaders in the classroom, courts and fields, our student-athletes are also leaders on our campus. They add so much to student life and, as individuals and teams, spend countless hours giving back to the community.
NSU Sharks always compete to win. this competitive spirit will serve them well as they become alumni and excel in their chosen professional field.
Finally, I would like to recognize our cheerleaders, Razor, NSU's Shark mascot, the Finatics and our Shark fans. They provide the energy for student-athletes and spectators alike. Together as a team, we will see the fulfillment of NSU's Vision 2020.
