For those seeking to complete a master's or doctoral degree while gaining field experience in intercollegiate athletics, the Nova Southeastern University athletic department also offers Graduate Assistant positions in a variety of disciplines. The athletic department currently has opportunities available in Athletic Training, Athletic Communications, Administration, Compliance, Student-Athlete Academic Services, Strength & Conditioning, and Equipment Room. In order to be considered for a position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Submit a letter of application/cover letter outlining your experience and any specific areas of expertise you have that are relevant to the work of the Department of Athletics. If you are currently enrolled in a graduate program at NSU, please indicate the name of the program. If not currently enrolled at NSU, please include the name of the graduate program at NSU in which you plan to seek enrollment.

Candidates must be accepted and enrolled in a graduate/doctoral program at NSU when the GA appointment begins.

The GA positions require 30-35 hours per week, may include flexible hours, evenings and weekends, and are 10-month renewable appointments. Graduate students classified as international students should confer with the NSU Office of International Students to determine their eligibility for a GA position.

Each start date will be determined by start date of individual's academic program of study.

The annual compensation package for Graduate Assistant positions is listed below and non-negotiable.

Annual stipend of up to $10,000 (based on $1000/month for a 10-month period)

Tuition scholarship of up to $10,000 per  year

Meal plan of $1,000

Student fees of $500
