In order to be considered for a position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Candidates must be accepted and enrolled in a graduate/doctoral program at NSU when the GA appointment begins.

The GA positions require 30-35 hours per week, may include flexible hours, evenings and weekends, and are 12-month renewable appointments. Graduate students classified as international students should confer with the NSU Office of International Students to determine their eligibility for a GA position.

Each start date will be determined by start date of individual's academic program of study.

2017-18 Graduate Assistant Financial Package

• $8,000 tuition scholarship ($3,500 Fall, $3,500 Winter, $1,000 Summer)
• $500 declining balance meal plan (Shark Card)
• $8,000 annual stipend (paid every two weeks)

NOTE: The annual compensation package for Graduate Assistant positions is NON-NEGOTIABLE.
