2014 Track and Field Schedule Released

Sharks begin competition on March 13 in Tampa, Fla.

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The Nova Southeastern University track and field schedule has been released. Fans can view the men's and women's track and field schedule, identical this season, HERE.

NSU will begin the season at the USF Invitational in Tampa, Fla. from March 13-14. They'll return to South Florida for meets at Miami on back-to-back weekends on March 21 and March 29. After four more regular season meets, NSU will compete in the Peach Belt Conference Championship in Rome, Ga. from April 17-19.

After the conference meet, NSU will compete in three more regular season meets, including the prestigious Penn Relays in Philadelphia from April 24-26. The NCAA National Championship will wrap up the year in Allendale, Mich. from May 22-24.

The track and field team enters the season with hopes of winning the program's first Peach Belt Conference Championship. The Sharks competed in the PBC for the first time last season and made a splash. They return the PBC Runner of the Year in Peri Bowman (Sr., Virginia Beach, Va.). She'll aim to become the sixth student-athlete in NSU history to earn multiple conference MVP honors.

Track also brings back several young runners fresh off their first collegiate offseason. NSU will return both Darren Hendricks (So., North Port, Fla.) and Ciona Williams (So., Stockton, Calif.), who each won PBC Freshman of the Year honors last season.
