NSU will stick around the Central Florida area for their next dual against Central Oklahoma in Orlando, Fla. on March 22.
The final dual of the season will be its most high profile, as the Sharks host Barry on March 29 in Hollywood, Fla. NSU and Barry were the top two teams in the nation last season, with NSU winning the national title and Barry winning the Sunshine State Conference Championship.
The FIRA Championship is scheduled for April 4 in Sarasota, Fla., while the SIRA Championship is slated for April 19 in Oakridge, Tenn. The Sharks will look to reclaim the conference title on April 25 during the 2014 Sunshine State Conference Championship in Sarasota, Fla.
The last regatta before the big dance will be the prestigious Dad Vail Regatta in Philadelphia, Pa. on May 9. If the season goes according to plan, NSU will defend its national title during the 2014 NCAA National Championship in Indianapolis beginning on May 30.
NSU returns a majority of rowers from its 2013 championship run and has added several newcomers who made an impact during the fall season. NSU had a strong showing in the fall, ending the preseason with a varsity-8 win at the FIRA Fall Classic, beating Barry, Florida Tech, Florida and Jacksonville.
