FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Nova Southeastern guard
Justin Jeangerard (Jr., Weaverville, Calif.) has been named Sunshine State Conference Player of the Week presented by VALIC, as announced by the conference office Monday.
Jeangerard led the Sharks to an undefeated week while shooting nearly perfect. He shot 83 percent (15-of-18) from the field, 70 percent (7-of-10) from 3-point range and 92 percent (11-of-12) from the charity stripe during the week. He averaged 24 points and 6.5 rebounds per game.
Against Eckerd, Jeangerard scored 22 points on 5-of-7 from behind the arc and 7-of-8 from the foul line, while pulling down six rebounds. Against Palm Beach Atlantic, he scored 26 points on 10-of-11 from the field, 2-of-3 from long range and a perfect 4-for-4 from the charity stripe. He also grabbed seven rebounds against the Sailfish.
