FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Nova Southeastern Associate Athletic Director/SWA, Compliance, Sport Admin. & Internal Operations
Kelley Kish and SAAC President and baseball starting pitcher
Roberto Baroniel (Jr., Miami) will speak Thursday at the NCAA Division II Identity Workshop at Palm Beach Atlantic.
This is the second year in a row that Baroniel has attended the event and the first for Kish. Baroniel attended as a representative for the Sunshine State Conference last year, but Kish and the pitcher will serve as presenters this year.
Baroniel and Kish's presentation is title SAAC on Your Campus and focuses on the best practices for SAAC organizations on DII campuses. Kish is the athletic representative for NSU's SAAC while Baroniel serves as the president of the SSC and NSU SAAC. During their time with SAAC, NSU has increased student-athlete involvement at games and raised funds for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, the official charity for NCAA DII.
"It is an honor to share with others about our SAAC and ideas that work at NSU," said Kish. "I am looking forward to learning throughout the workshop from all of the presenters and attendees on a multitude of topics. As a NCAA Division II institution that strives for excellence in academics and athletics, we are proud to represent NSU at the Division II Identity Workshop and use the opportunity to continue to strive for excellence."
Other subjects being presented are strategic positioning and branding, how SAAC can help improve the game day environment, student-athletes and the web, Make-A-Wish initiatives, and community engagement. The two-day workshop will end Friday, April 4.
